Since 1972, the UK particle physics community has run an annual summer school for PhD students to learn the fundamentals of their field and meet their peers at other universities. Until 2006 this was hosted at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and students stayed at Cosener’s House in Abingdon. From 2007 onwards the school has been funded by STFC and hosted at different universities.

 

Proceedings for the schools were published from 1973 onwards.
