Thomas Reis is a particle physicist working at the CMS experiment at CERN. He is a detector expert on the CMS electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) and has also worked on the L1 trigger system. He is currently leading the ECAL detector performance group and is working on the HL-LHC ECAL upgrade, in particular on off-detector processing in FPGAs for anomalous signal tagging, and development of object reconstruction software running on GPUs. https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3703-6624
