Thomas Reis is an electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) and L1 trigger expert.

He is currently working on the HL-LHC ECAL upgrade, as well as off-detector processing in FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) and algorithm development for anomalous APD (Avalanche Photo Diode) signal tagging.

Previously he was the L1 trigger DQM (Data Quality Management) coordinator and responsible for trigger offline software integration.
