Stefania Ricciardi

Stefania Ricciardi is an Honorary Scientist in the Particle Physics Department at RAL. Her research centres on flavour physics, spanning both heavy-quark and lepton sectors. She joined the LHCb group at RAL in 2006, following six years at Royal Holloway University of London working on the BaBar experiment at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, and nearly a decade at CERN contributing to major international neutrino experiments (CHARM‑II, CHORUS). Over the course of her career, Stefania has made numerous contributions to data analysis and photodetectors development. She is internationally recognised for her pioneering work on the measurement of the CKM angle γ, a fundamental CP‑violating parameter of the Standard Model. While at RAL, in addition to her involvement in LHCb, Stefania was a member of the MICE Collaboration and, more recently, has helped shape future facilities, such as NuSTORM and proposed muon‑collider projects. Alongside her scientific work, she has held several leadership roles that support and promote the particle‑physics community in the UK and worldwide.
