​Stefania is a particle physicist conducting research in the area of flavour physics. She leads the SiPM R&D for the future LHCb detector upgrade, contributes to physics analysis and is responsible for the LHCb-UK budget. She is also engaging in NuSTORM and future muon collider demonstrators. She was the chair of the LHCb Speakers’ Bureau. Currently chairs the UK HEP Forum organising committee.

Her previous collaborations include MICE (RAL), CLEO-c (Cornell), BaBar (SLAC), CHORUS (CERN), CHARM-II (CERN).​​
