​David Cockerill is project scientist for the design, construction and installation of the CMS ECAL (Electromagnetic Calorimeter) Endcaps (EE).

He is a leading expert for EE operation and performance, and for predictions for the long term evolution of the system to LHC LS3. He is also an STFC Individual Merit Fellow. He is responsible for 24h coverage for the Vacuum Photo-Triode High Voltage system.
