Title:  "Charged particle tracking in colliding beam experiments"


I will give a pedagogical introduction to the design, development and operation of 
charged particle tracking systems in large colliding beam experiments. Nowadays 
this means a system based around silicon technology, where the RAL-PPD group
has a long history and expertise accross multiple experiments. The material will be 
pitched at the newcomer to the subject with a lot of opportunities to ask questions 
and engage in discussion.
