Title: "Applications of Particle Accelerators”

Abstract: Nearly 40000 particle accelerators are in use around the world for a variety of applications in the industrial, 
medical, security, energy and environmental areas. Taken together, they are responsible for about $0.5T worth of commerce 
per year and have a significant impact on everyday life. This seminar will describe the main uses of accelerators, but 
will focus more on two new applications in the environmental area which have the potential for development in the future.
