Title: "The Applications of Particle Accelerators" 

Abstract: This seminar will introduce the types of particle accelerators that exist, summarise what they are used for outside of the research area and describe two applications in the medical area in more detail. It will also show how a new type of accelerator being studied by a UK-US collaboration could bring significant improvements to these applications.
