Abstract: The IEEE Real Time conference covers the latest developments in realtime data acquisition and computing applications from fields across the physical sciences. This includes trigger systems, real time simulation, new electronics standards, control and monitoring systems, fast data transfer networks, and data processing farms. In this 
seminar, we present a selection of personal highlights from the 2016 Real Time conference.
