Wednesday 17 February 2016 Speaker: Yacine Haddad (Imperial/Durham) Title: "High granular calorimetry for the future international linear collider" Abstract: Recent developments in calorimetry for high energy physics experiments, driven by the linear collider community, show a clear trend towards devices with very fine granularity, specifically designed for the use of Particle Flow Algorithms. In this regard, the CALICE collaboration developed and studied several prototypes exploring different technologies. This seminar will provide a small overview of the collaboration's activities with a special focus on recent beam test results.
