Wednesday 20 January 2016 Speaker: Graham Lee (RAL/PPD) Title: "Resonance production in 7 TeV p-p collisions at ALICE" Abstract: To help understand the underlying event of particle collisions resonance analysis are conducted to probe the environment created within the collision in its early stages. Such analysis in proton - proton collisions can also act as a baseline for analysis in heavy–ion collisions, where QGP effects can be probed. Resonance properties are extracted and compared to QCD inspired models as well as other lower order experiments to aid in our understanding.
