Wednesday 6 March 2013 Speaker: Brian Meadows (Cincinatti University) Title: "Recent Results and Trends in Charm Physics" Abstract: Charm particles carry flavour belonging to the up-quark sector. This leads to very small mixing and CP violation in decay rates. Mixing was first in evidence just 6 years ago, and direct CPV may also have been seen in the last two. Doubts that these results can be said to behave as predicted by the standard model do exist. Present evidence and future experimental potential for shedding further light on this will be discussed.
