Title: "The CLIC Detector and Physics Programme" 

Abstract: The Compact Linear Collider (CLIC) is a next generation electron-positron collider 
with access to the multi-TeV regime. Its staging capabilities and broadly scoped physics 
potential make this a compelling option for a future facility. The detector requirements 
for precision measurements drive an active R&D program. Current initiatives include hardware 
R&D for vertex pixel sensors, studies of tungsten absorbers in hadronic calorimeters, a 
comprehensive study of a cost-controlled option for an electromagnetic calorimeter, as 
well as a number of physics simulation studies. I will present an overview over the CLIC 
physics capabilities and over current activities in the CLIC Detector and Physics studies 
group.
