Wednesday 22 February 2012 Speaker: Andrew Akeroyd (NExT, Southampton University) Title: "Phenomenology of Doubly Charged Higgs Bosons and their ongoing search at the LHC" Abstract: Doubly charged Higgs bosons arise in the Higgs Triplet Model of neutrino mass generation. I introduce the theoretical structure of the model and discuss the phenomenology of doubly charged Higgs bosons at hadron colliders. I then summarise the ongoing searches for these particles in multi-lepton channels at the LHC. Finally, I show that that five-lepton and six-lepton signatures are possible, for which there have been no dedicated searches.
