Title: The ATLAS SCT End-cap

Abstract: The ATLAS Experiment is poised to start collecting data at the LHC in CERN. A key part of
the experiment is the Silicon Tracker (SCT) in which physicists and engineers at RAL have played a
major part.

After a short introduction to ATLAS and the tracking detectors, I will explain the construction and
the commissioning of the SCT End-caps, with special emphasis on the Engineering.
