Wednesday 30 April 2008 Speaker: Veronique Boisvert (Royal Holloway) Title: The "truth" about the "top" quark from CDF Abstract: With an unprecedented amount of integrated luminosity from the Tevatron, CDF has seen an explosion of new and exciting measurements using the top quark. I will review the latest measurements of the top pair cross sections and will then focus on measurements of top properties: top quark charge, flavor changing neutral currents, charge asymmetry and the latest W helicity measurements. Finally I will briefly summarize the latest values for the top mass and single top quark observation. Throughout I will also draw a few parallels between the Tevatron and LHC that have an impact on top quark physics.
