Title:    Borexino: First Direct Observation of Solar Be7 Neutrinos
SubTitle: and Prospects for low Energy Neutrino Astronomy

Abstract: The first results of the solar neutrino experiment BOREXINO are reported. Spectroscopy of solar neutrinos in the sub-MeV range is now possible. In this talk the result on solar 7-Be-neutrinos is presented as well as possibilities to gain information about CNO- and pep-neutrinos. Finally prospects on low energy astronomy with future large neutrino detectors will be discussed.
